Searching for Ohm


 Searching for "Ohm"

 Ohms law is the simple equation behind even the most complex computer chip.   It's expressed as:

I = E / R 

 or...

  I = potential divided by resistance

or...

I Am = Potential for Self Awareness  divided by  Distractions of attention

 Searching for Ohm is about the search for the simple... the spiritual search... the Search for Self.   It's also about the search to understand the phenomenal world.  The search for truth is always in two opposite directions simultaneously - one to understand the problem and one to discover the truth.   Complex problems beget complex answers and take you further from the truth - in the opposite direction.   When you simplify the problem the answer simplifies itself.   Simple solutions are always obvious when you simplify the problem.   So 90% of the solution is simplifying the problem.

The Mandelbrot Mind

 The paragraph below comes from an article I wrote called "Who Needs the Higgs" which was originally published on Daniel Pinchbeck's website 'Reality Sandwich' in October of 2010.    Subsequently it was linked by Sepp Hasslberger on several of his sites so I am linking to the version on his site as well as he was instrumental in keeping this article alive with all his links.   He also has a larger u-tube link to Robert Otey's  video which is 'must see entertainment' in my opinion for anyone interested in these sorts of things...

 "Writing about scalars is like writing about zen.  You could spend infinities at it and still be scratching your head in a different place.  The language is all square and the 'whole' is a confoundin' dodecahedron.  It's a pathetic operation -- has an endlessly futile feel to it like throwing water balloons at the sun.   When you sift through the literature you are confronted with a Berlin wall of  'talkin' in tongues' terminology and Rune like formulas, all of which does nothing to clarify the true nature of the phenomena.   In fact the opposite happens.   A window of opacity opens up before the reader, somehow revealing yet simultaneously obscuring the view.  Such is physics."

"After writing this article it occurred to me that this infinitely enfolding 'energetic Mandelbrot' was a potential model for the actual working mechanism of the fractal nature of reality (IE waves within waves,within waves...).   After all, if fractals do explain reality then they would have to have an energetic nature.   So called 'particles' are supposedly only solid 3 dimensional objects which would not fit the model of an infinitely regressing fractal reality.   So up till now there had been no model for connecting particles to fractals.   In this model however, particles are 'coiled energy' (like a spherical hurricane)...  and they "unwind" spatially into extended energy... (waves) which act as continuous tether like connections between them.... and... most importantly... they arise from and recede back into smaller and smaller recursive waves of energy.  Only a simultaneously imploding-expanding, 'self similar' model of energy can fit in a fractal model - potentially - so if nothing else, it would appear that there is more to a so called 'wave' then we know...  So it would appear that infinitely regressing fractals like the Mandelbrot Set, can be seen as 'visual maps' of the true infinite (and self similar) source of waves (energy)... or infinite source of energetic mind.   If energy is mind... then mind would be infinitly arising and subsiding... like Shakti and Shiva..."

A Yoga in Space

"There's 'space' for awareness in space"

 This story originally appeared as an article that I wrote for Daniel Pinchbeck's website 'Reality Sandwich' called 'A Yoga in Space' about yoga on a Space Station.    I've quoted the first paragraph and placed a link to the article below.... 


"It's been an amazing journey up to the new station what with my head pointed out the window the whole time like a first time visitor to the Louvre... I just couldn't take my eyes off the 'Art'!   And art it is indeed!   No random mistake, the earth.   You couldn't take it for that if you tried from this altitude.  Only an earth bound... no, mind bound view could have come up with that explanation.   It's a masterpiece!   Intelligence swirling and circulating over every inch.   It moves!   It's no 'rock'... and it floats... in Infinity!   Unbelievable!   And infinity is not random either... just staring at it... you can't even fathom... no place to 'land' in the mind!   You can't even define it... you wouldn't even want to define it... it's beyond definition... it informs you!   Freedom from the need to define... that's the best I can do in words.   Non-verbal, unspoken, deep... deep satisfaction... that's what infinity is.   It's "liberation from definition!".   I could die right now and it would have been worth the risk.   I 'die' a little more every time I gaze at it and I still can't get enough of it.   I couldn't imagine the earth without infinity.  Now that would be a dead planet!"   Journal entry one.   10:23pm  GMT,  11/19/15 -- on Station Lotus 1."

Where is Time?

 This following is from an article I wrote for Daniel Pinchbeck's website 'Reality Sandwich' called 'Where is Time?'.   It's about 'time'... and 'timelessness'   See quote and link below...

"As it turns out, the brain and I had not been on speaking terms for some years now for I had been singing the praises of 'energy' to anyone who would listen. Any mention of anything thicker than a nadi was dismissed in my steel trapped mind as an artifact of the primary subtle source code and as such, an irrelevant distraction -- not worthy of my valuable time. But here was something that hit home in a way that I couldn't dismiss... I mean this was engineering... or more accurately, reverse engineering.  It was right in my under educated wheelhouse, in a language I could relate to. Suddenly, in my mind, the brain had been 'elevated' somehow.  No longer so easily dismissed, it was now an 'organ of respect!' -- an unbelievably sophisticated and counterintuitive bio-electric genius, its underlying mechanism having gone under reported in an otherwise 'Big-Pharma's' field.    And it had been doing a 'rope a dope' -- with noise! the scourge of the electronics world, right 'under' my nose the whole time... Damn!  I was impressed!"

A Post 2012 Dilemma

"2012 can best be summed up in the dilemma of the current square between Uranus (the planet of sudden changes) and Pluto... a planet which is associated with power struggles.  This dilemma was encapsulated in a recent quote from an article by Raymond Merriman in the June-July issue of Mountain Astrologer...

"Perhaps, as Dr. Lee Lehman suggests, we should consider that:  "Common keywords for squares are conflict and quarreling and the opposition is rather self-explanatory.   In other words, the planetary energy that is upcoming until 2020 (the next year of outer planet conjunctions) is exactly what we have just been experiencing:  conflict and tension without resolution".   Lehman's statement was made in the context that the only hard aspects of outer planets between 2010 and 2020 are the square and oppositions.   There are no conjunctions ("new beginnings") until Saturn and Pluto meet up in January 2020."

  Thus the predictable headlines. 

 So it would appear that we are faced with a 'season of 2012' that will be with us for at least the next 7 years.   One route to threading our selves through this 'season of dilemma' is to come to a greater 'understanding' of the source of dilemma itself... one that, perhaps, leads us to a new view of the meaning of the word 'understanding'... as clearly our current view of this 'most misunderstood' word is not up to the job.

 If such a thread were to exist it might just have qualities that foster greater creativity... creativity that resolves seemingly paradoxical dilemmas which manifest as the persistent 'play of opposites' we see all around us.   Therefore this blog..."

A Post 2012 world


Endless...
Time... endless time...
no excuse.
Long train running... no caboose!
Thought not the problem... attention the key.
Un-trained attention... running over me!
